We're making games we want to play, building a community we can be proud of, and enjoying the work to do such. There is no tolerance for toxicity and we will tear it out by the root. Anyone who wants to fight about it can meet us in a Denny's parking lot at 3am.
With close ties to our players we do our best to lift the curtain of game dev for better insight on what we're doing. If community is the cake then content creators are the frosting, we want to work with creators of all sizes. And we mean that.
At Volok we believe in a healthy work environment, that means everyone's voice is heard, we help each other, and there is no crunch. With members spanning the globe we value teamwork, communication, and the drive to make something bigger than ourselves.
Our meetings throughout the week are filled with laughter, wacky new ideas and heated debates...like who’s dying first in the next PvP test? It’s like we actually like each other or something, so weird!
Volok is a studio that is inclusive to all humans. With multiple LGBTQ+ people and others from all walks of life, Volok is a place of support for those with passion. We all love playing games, so why not enjoy every second making them.
We are a 100% remote studio with devs spanning the globe, having a multitude of backgrounds and skills. Some of us have been at this for years and for some this is their first game dev job. We look for people that will mesh with our tight-knit team and are around for the long haul. We certainly are.
